Week 33: Sarajevski Pjesnik, and The Bosnian Pyramids

Hey everybody!

I don't really have a lot of time right now (at all) to write a proper group email, so here are some highlights. (I'll tell you all more next week!)

First, we tried contacting a guy in an orange shirt. He didn't really let us talk though, but he told us he was the Sarajevski Pjesnik, which means "Sarajevo Poet". He even turned around and showed us that it was written in big black letters on the back of his shirt. Then he proceeded to launch a poem at us (in Bosnian, just like the rest of the conversation), and then promptly patted me on the arm and ran off.

The other big thing was what we did for P-day today. We went to visit the "Bosnian Pyramids" in Visoko. Turns out there are three main ones, pyramid of the sun, moon, and dragon (no not the stars). We went to the pyramid of the moon. It was kinda just a big mountain. So, we went on a hike.

At the top there was an orchard with a few holes in the ground revealing some stone. It was a nice mountain. The guy that maintains the orchard uses the fruit to make Rakija (alchohol) I guess. He offered us some. We said we'd take water.

Sorry I can't write more! I hope you all enjoyed General Conference. You're homework is either 1) watch General Conference if you haven't yet, or 2) pick a past general conference talk that catches your eye, and study it.

Have an awesome week! Here's a photo from the pyramid of the nearby countryside, and a video of me and Sister Rougeau practicing a musical number:
